Basically it is a shortcut recognized as "hide all currently open windows", but at the same time the desktop is displayed and it is also a shortcut to be active.

Icons such as folders on the desktop can usually be selected with the arrow keys.
However, it is not possible to select it unless it is active even though the desktop is displayed, such as the state you just logged in. You can activate the desktop with this shortcut even when the mouse is not connected.

Switch tabs
